UK condemns Argentina’s Falklands harassment after Milei’s UN claim

Milei declared the Falklands a "national cause" and said Argentina would pursue legal and economic action, dismissing the islanders' right to self-determination as inapplicable since the population was "implanted by the occupying power." The British UN delegation reaffirmed its sovereignty and support for the islanders' rights. The dispute follows US President Donald Trump's suggestion he might reconsider Washington's neutral stance on the islands, which Argentina invaded in 1982, sparking a war that killed 255 British service personnel, 655 Argentinians, and three islanders.
