Milei calls UN a 'useless organization' feeding 'parasites' at General Assembly

Argentine President Javier Milei called the United Nations a "useless organization" that "feeds a caste of parasites" during his address to the 81st UN General Assembly. Milei, a far-right ally of US President Donald Trump, accused the UN of failing its mission on collective security and human rights, allowing chaos and international terrorism to flourish. He also criticized the body for ignoring Argentina's sovereignty claim over the Falkland Islands. The Argentine leader additionally condemned what he called the UN's caution toward artificial intelligence. Earlier in September, Milei had announced stricter sanctions against companies involved in oil exploration around the disputed South Atlantic archipelago.
