Milei urges UK to resume Falklands talks, slams UN over sovereignty dispute

He announced Argentina will take measures, including a bill to strengthen sanctions against unauthorized resource exploration, following Britain's decision to extend offshore oil licenses. The dispute dates to 1833, with a 74-day war in 1982 that killed over 900 people. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham responded that London will remain "firm" against any threat to the islands' British status.
