noticias.uol.com.br (Portuguese) —

Marquinho, in Paraná state, was the only Brazilian city where Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro ended in an exact tie in the 2026 presidential election runoff held Sunday, with each receiving 1,530 votes. Each candidate secured 50% of valid votes in the municipality of 4,504 residents, located about 400 kilometers from Curitiba. Of 3,875 eligible voters, 3,127 turned out, with 25 blank votes, 42 null votes, and a 19.3% abstention rate. The result differed from the first round on October 4, when Bolsonaro led by 136 votes. The tie does not affect the national outcome, as votes are summed nationwide; Lula won reelection with 51.79% of valid votes.
