Rubio tours Ambani's Jamnagar complex for energy talks
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio toured Reliance Industries' Jamnagar complex on Wednesday, hosted by Mukesh and Anant Ambani, with discussions focused on energy cooperation, including Venezuelan crude processing and a proposed US refinery project. Rubio described Reliance as capable of refining heavy Venezuelan crude and said talks aimed to identify partnership opportunities. The visit included the green energy complex and Vantara, with officials noting potential discussions on expanding Venezuelan crude volumes and the Texas refinery project. The trip follows Rubio's Mumbai meetings with Adani and Tata leaders, and comes as the Trump administration addresses diesel prices before midterm elections. India's Venezuelan crude imports are projected to rise to 465,000 barrels daily in October.
