Gold prices fall in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and other major Indian cities on October 24
Gold prices in India fell further on October 24, 2026, with MCX December futures declining 0.81% to Rs 1,42,150 per 10 grams, while retail 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,42,630 per 10 grams. In Delhi's bullion market, 99.9% purity gold dropped Rs 1,900 to Rs 1,46,100 per 10 grams, while international prices hovered near $4,000 per ounce after slipping below that level. City-wise rates varied slightly, with Mumbai and Kolkata quoting 24-carat at Rs 1,42,480. Analysts attributed the decline to a stronger US dollar, rising bond yields, higher crude oil prices around $115 per barrel, and inflation concerns, which could keep interest rates elevated and reduce gold's appeal as a non-interest-bearing asset.
