Enes Kanter Freedom ejected from WNBA game after clash with Natasha Cloud

Former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from Sunday night's WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky after a confrontation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud late in the third quarter. Cloud, 34, yelled and pointed at Freedom, 34, who was sitting along the baseline wearing a shirt reading "WOMAN. Noun. Adult human female." Security and Sky players intervened as Freedom stepped onto the court. Chicago coach Tyler Marsh said Cloud was concerned about being a distraction, and Marsh praised her for protecting the team. Freedom had previously criticized the WNBA's transgender policy and declared himself eligible for the league's draft as a publicity stunt. The WNBA has no transgender players, and its collective bargaining agreement lacks specific language on gender identity. Fever guard Sophie Cunningham recently voiced opposition to transgender women competing in women's sports.
