Zelensky: Starshield outage halted 2,000 interceptor drones

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the temporary shutdown of Starlink/Starshield halted 2,000 Barс interceptor drones, as Ukraine currently destroys about 90% of Russian Shahed drones, up from 50-75% initially. Zelensky stated a European country paid for the 2,000 drones, which successfully destroyed a Shahed in testing before Starshield stopped working. He said he doesn't know who decided to disable the system, which SpaceX controls technically. Ukraine uses Starshield for logistics, including food and water supplies, and against Russian forces on Ukrainian territory, not inside Russia. On October 24, Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported Starlink and Starshield had resumed stable operation at speeds over 400 km/h.
