US restores Starlink for Ukraine after pressure from both parties
The United States resumed full Starlink operations in Ukraine after facing pressure from multiple sides, according to Ukrainian security expert Dmytro Zhmailo. He stated that direct communication from Ukrainian leadership and public support influenced Washington's decision. Zhmailo said pressure came from both Democrats and Republicans, including Trump's MAGA wing, as most U.S. political factions support Ukraine and view Russia as an absolute enemy. He also suggested arms manufacturers lobbied Trump because Starlink outages disrupted drone testing with American technology. The expert claimed Elon Musk was made a scapegoat, and that the reversal shows consolidated positions can change situations. Musk had previously said Starlink was blocked due to Ukrainian forces violating terms of use by using it for drone strikes.
