SpaceX accused of blocking NATO satellite during Russian attack

techno.nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Military analyst Lynx published an investigation accusing Elon Musk and SpaceX of deliberately restricting Starlink and Starshield systems in Ukraine on October 13-14 during a mass Russian missile attack, allegedly aiding Russian forces and harming US and NATO operations. The analyst claims SpaceX blocked the ICEYE-X36 radar reconnaissance satellite, used by the Pentagon, NATO, and the Ukrainian military, by issuing a false collision warning with a Starlink satellite. This allegedly prevented the satellite from evading a Russian COSMOS 2612 interceptor, with the analyst estimating a 99.89-99.98 percent probability the actions were intentional. The report also alleges deep financial and political ties between Musk's business circle and the US Defense Department, including the appointment of Emil Michael as CTO and decisions favoring Starlink in military drone operations. The analyst warns that such monopolization of military technology by private business threatens US and allied national security.
