A forensic psychologist testified Monday that Lindsay Clancy has bipolar disorder, contradicting a prosecution expert who said she showed no signs of the condition or psychosis in her murder trial for killing her three children. Dr. Kirk Heilbrun, who examined Clancy over three days, said she experienced anxiety, depression, insomnia and suicidal thoughts before the January 2023 killings. His testimony rebuts Dr. Avram Mack, who testified Friday that Clancy had a major depressive episode but no bipolar disorder. Clancy's defense argues she had postpartum psychosis and shouldn't be held criminally responsible, while prosecutors say she planned the killings. Closing arguments are expected later this week.
