A forensic psychologist testified Monday that Lindsay Clancy has bipolar disorder and experienced anxiety, depression, insomnia and suicidal thoughts before killing her three children in January 2023, contradicting a previous expert witness. Kirk Heilbrun, who examined Clancy over three days this year, said he struggled to diagnose bipolar 2 disorder due to conflicting records and symptoms, noting he found no clear manic episode. His testimony countered Dr. Avram Mack, who said Friday she had no bipolar disorder or psychosis. Clancy, 36, has pleaded not guilty to murder charges, with her defense citing postpartum psychosis while prosecutors allege she planned the killings. Closing arguments are expected later this week.
