Nice shopkeeper kicked in back during looting; video goes viral

A video showing a Micromania store employee in Nice being kicked in the back by a rioter during Saturday's looting has gone viral on social media. The employee was attempting to prevent his shop from being pillaged when the assault occurred. The victim, identified as Pierre, told Ici Provence he cannot yet process the event and regrets his intervention. He told BFMTV his back still hurts, though he has not seen a doctor, and he has received numerous messages of support. The store was ultimately completely looted.
