Nice shop worker kicked in back during looting attempt

A video showing a Micromania store employee in Nice being kicked in the back by a rioter on Saturday has gone viral, following his attempt to stop his shop from being looted. The employee, named Pierre, told Ici Provence he cannot yet process the event and regrets his intervention, while admitting to BFMTV that his back still hurts. The store was ultimately completely ransacked. The attack occurred during the October 17 protests, and Pierre has since received numerous messages of support on social media, where the footage has been widely shared.
