A video showing a Micromania store employee in Nice being kicked in the back by a rioter during Saturday's looting has gone viral on social media. The employee was attempting to stop his shop from being pillaged when he was attacked. The employee, named Pierre, told Ici Provence he cannot yet process the event and regrets his attempt to intervene. He told BFMTV his back still hurts, and he has not had time to see a doctor. The store was ultimately completely looted. The attack occurred during the October 17 protests, and the employee has received numerous messages of support since Saturday.
