Micromania employee kicked in back during Nice looting

A video showing a Micromania store employee in Nice being kicked in the back by a rioter during Saturday's looting has gone viral on social media. The employee was attempting to prevent his shop from being pillaged when he was attacked. The victim, identified as Pierre, told Ici Provence he cannot yet process the event and regrets his attempt to intervene. He told BFMTV his back still hurts but he has not had time to see a doctor, though he has received much support. The store was ultimately completely looted. The attack occurred during the October 17 protests, which were marked by widespread violence and property destruction across France.
