Intel Plunges 25% on Weak Outlook; Dell, AMD, NVIDIA Slide
Intel shares plunged 25% in premarket trading after the company issued a weak Q4 outlook, overshadowing its Q3 earnings beat and dragging down PC makers and chipmakers, including Dell (-13%), AMD (-10%), and NVIDIA (-3%). Intel reported Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.52, beating the $0.41 expected, with revenue of $16.5 billion, up 21% year over year. However, Q4 guidance of $15-$16 billion revenue and $0.25 EPS fell far short of analyst estimates, driven by a memory-chip shortage and a projected 12% PC market decline in 2026. Intel’s Data Center and AI revenue grew 78% to $7.3 billion, its strongest in 15 years, while an Israel factory accident is expected to cut $300 million from Q4 revenue. The stock remains up 87% year to date, with bulls citing strong data center demand and bears noting no positive free cash flow expected in 2027.
