Ushakov: Trilateral talks after November 4, depend on front-line situation

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said consultations on trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia will occur after November 4 and depend on the battlefield situation and the overall environment. He made the statement on October 28, according to Russian state media. Ushakov said the exact date will be set soon, adding that Russia's delegation for the Abu Dhabi talks is not yet confirmed, though a core group exists. He rejected European participation, stating the current focus is on a trilateral meeting. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously said the Abu Dhabi meeting could take place on November 10, with Ukraine preferring it before a potential US-China-Russia summit at APEC in Shenzhen. Ukraine wants European presence but will not block the meeting if the US insists on a trilateral format.
