Russia Excludes EU from Ukraine Peace Talks, Kremlin Says

rbc.ua (Ukrainian) —

Russia does not want to see the European Union at the negotiating table regarding Ukraine, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who stated that trilateral peace talks to end the war exclude EU representatives. Peskov claimed Moscow is unaware of any peacekeeping position from the EU, accusing Brussels of a provocative stance aimed at prolonging the war, and said such participants are not needed, nor likely wanted by Americans seeking peace. Recent phone calls between Putin and leaders of Norway and Finland were framed by Ukraine's President Zelensky as neighborly discussions, with Oslo and Helsinki seeking a greater role and sharing information with Europe and the US.
