Ukrainian drone attacks on three Russian regions injure five

Ukrainian drones attacked three Russian regions during the day, resulting in casualties. Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 17 fixed-wing UAVs. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the drones were shot down over the Kursk and Belgorod regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22. Regional officials reported consequences of the attacks. In the Belgorod region, drone strikes on vehicles injured four men, with three hospitalized and one treated for acoustic barotrauma. In the Kursk region, a 72-year-old resident was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to his leg after a drone attack on the village of Nizhnemakhovo.
