Putin’s party would have won 34% without vote fraud, Ukraine says

The Kremlin falsified the results of the September 18-20 pseudo-elections to the State Duma, according to Ukrainian and independent analysts. Without the fabricated votes, the result for Putin's United Russia party would have been about 34%, not the official 57.8%. The publication "Novaya-Europa" used a statistical method developed by physicist Sergei Shpilkin to detect electoral anomalies, specifically ballot stuffing. The method assumes that in an honest vote, a candidate's support level should not depend heavily on voter turnout, with honest counts forming a uniform "core" and falsifications creating a "comet tail." Ukraine's Foreign Ministry stated that the so-called elections on temporarily occupied territories are illegal and their results are void. The official result for United Russia was 57.8%, which is 1.7 times higher than the estimated honest figure of 34%.
