Nvidia invests in French medical platform Doctolib for AI healthcare push
Nvidia will acquire a minority stake in French medical appointment platform Doctolib, CEO Jensen Huang announced Tuesday in Paris, with the investment aimed at integrating AI technology into healthcare services. Doctolib, which manages patient bookings and medical records for 50 million users, launched an AI research program in August. The undisclosed investment follows Nvidia's $8 billion European spending last year and will accelerate Doctolib's hiring and development of in-house AI assistants for patients and doctors. Doctolib CEO Stanislas Niox-Chateau said the company will use Nvidia chips to maintain control over its AI models and patient data, rather than relying on proprietary systems from OpenAI or Anthropic. Doctolib was valued at €3.6 billion in its latest funding round earlier this year.
