Nvidia invests in Doctolib and three French AI startups

boursorama.com (French) —

Nvidia announced Tuesday it is investing in French medical appointment platform Doctolib and three French AI startups, aiming to "launch the AI revolution in Europe," according to CEO Jensen Huang at a Paris event. The investments include Genesis AI, a Franco-American robotics AI startup, Pigment, a French AI-powered business planning software firm, and Entalpic, which applies generative AI to materials discovery for the chemical industry. Nvidia did not disclose amounts, but Huang said the company invested at least $8 billion in Europe last year and plans $2 billion more this year. Nvidia will become a minority shareholder in Doctolib without board representation, CEO Stanislas Niox-Château told AFP, enabling faster development of proprietary AI models and a personal health assistant for patients. The move follows Nvidia's September acquisition of Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, highlighting its global AI ecosystem strategy.
