Nvidia invests in Doctolib and three French AI startups
Nvidia announced Tuesday it will take a minority stake in French health appointment platform Doctolib and three French AI startups, aiming to boost artificial intelligence development in Europe. CEO Jensen Huang made the announcement in Paris, naming Genesis AI, Pigment, and Entalpic as additional investments. Nvidia invested at least $8 billion in Europe last year and plans $2 billion more this year, though specific amounts for these deals were not disclosed. Doctolib will use Nvidia's technology to develop proprietary AI models, including a patient health assistant, without relying on companies like OpenAI. The company recently launched a research program using data from 50 million users, which drew criticism from human rights groups.
