cnbc.com —

Nvidia announced Tuesday it will invest $3 billion in Meta, following the social media giant's plan to raise $95 billion for artificial intelligence infrastructure. Meta said Monday it would initially raise $35 billion through underwritten public equity offerings, with an additional $60 billion via an at-the-market program. Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom expressed interest in purchasing up to $5 billion in shares. Nvidia said Meta will expand deployment of its Vera Rubin and Vera CPU systems, and the companies will deepen their partnership on Muse, Meta's AI agent launched last month. Both companies' shares were flat in premarket trading Tuesday.
