Zelensky warns Europe of Putin's ambitions
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned European governments to strengthen their own defense capabilities amid shifts in US policy, stating Russia has decided that a peaceful and united Europe is its enemy. Speaking at the Berlin Security Conference, Zelensky cited Russia's military infrastructure built over recent years as evidence of its intentions, arguing it is too extensive to target only Ukraine and is aimed at Europe. He urged European governments to assess their capabilities, noting they possess the necessary knowledge and production capacity. The warning follows recent statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin claiming readiness for war with Europe, though he said he does not want it. Putin also threatened conflict if European troops were deployed to Ukraine.
