Zelensky and Pistorius discuss air defense missile supplies in Berlin

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Berlin on Wednesday to discuss air defense missile supplies amid ongoing Russian strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure. Zelensky highlighted a chronic shortage of Patriot interceptors, particularly against ballistic missiles, and said Ukraine has a strong contract for German-made PAC-2 missiles over the next two years. Both sides are working to accelerate deliveries to help Ukraine through the winter. The talks also covered speeding up IRIS-T air defense systems and F-16 fighter jet ammunition. Zelensky arrived in Berlin on November 3 for meetings with Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who announced a winter support package and a planned summit of the "Coalition of the Willing."
