Tom Cruise hosts royals at London premiere of 'Digger'

Tom Cruise hosted Prince William and Princess Catherine at the London world premiere of 'Digger' on Tuesday, where the royal couple joined the star-studded cast for the Royal Film Performance at Leicester Square. The royals met Cruise, director Alejandro González Iñárritu, and cast members including Riz Ahmed and John Goodman before the screening. Cruise publicly thanked the couple for supporting British film, while the event featured Arctic-themed installations and a musical salute from the King's band. The satirical black comedy stars Cruise as oil tycoon Digger Rockwell, whose drilling triggers an environmental catastrophe. Kate wore a purple chiffon gown with a royal amethyst necklace.
