Prince and Princess of Wales reunite with Tom Cruise at London film premiere

The Prince and Princess of Wales renewed their friendship with Tom Cruise at the London premiere of his film "Digger" on Tuesday, sharing laughs and conversation on the black carpet before the royal gala screening. Cruise took Catherine's hand as they talked, and he complimented Prince William on his black velvet jacket. Catherine wore a purple Jenny Packham dress with Diana's pearl drop earrings and the late Queen Mother's amethyst sautoir necklace. David Beckham and his sons were also among attendees. Cruise has known the royal couple for years and attended Princess Diana's funeral in 1997. The film, directed by Oscar winner Alejandro González Iñárritu, has received mixed early social media reactions, with some critics praising it as an art film while others called it "a mess."
