Police in Naples conducted seven searches Thursday after monitoring Telegram chats inciting violence at protests scheduled for Saturday, October 24. Authorities seized weapons including a 23-centimeter knife, aluminum bats, and shears. The Digos police monitored two planned demonstrations in Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza del Plebiscito. Chat messages urged burning shops and attacking police, though some users advocated peaceful protest. The operation followed recent violent episodes in Milan. The seven suspects face charges related to public order offenses. The investigation was supported by the Cyber Security Operations Center, with seizures also including a neck warmer and gloves.
