Italy Probes Possible Russian Role in Mass Protests - Bloomberg

pravda.com.ua (Russian) —

Italian officials are investigating whether external forces, particularly Russia, were involved in the recent mass protests that led to clashes in the country, according to Bloomberg. The Italian government has requested information on the potential role of foreign provocateurs in the unrest that has hit European cities in recent weeks. Defense Minister Guido Crosetto previously attributed the weekend riots in Milan and other regions to a "hybrid war" against the West. The protests began on October 17, modeled on larger demonstrations in France, and resulted in over 200 arrests in Milan. Several hundred soldiers will now be deployed to reinforce security in the city.
