Russia resumes diesel exports to Turkey and Brazil
Russia has resumed diesel exports to its main former buyers, Turkey and Brazil, with at least two tankers departing in recent days, according to shipping data from Kpler and LSEG reported by Reuters on Tuesday. The tanker Leruo left the Baltic port of Primorsk on October 16, heading to Manaus, Brazil, while the Dolunay departed on October 14 for Alanya, Turkey. Turkey accounts for about 34% of Russian diesel exports this year, and Brazil about 24%. Russia lifted its diesel export ban on October 9 following a deal with US President Donald Trump to supply fuel to the global market. Trump said Russia would deliver over 300,000 tonnes immediately, with more shipments to follow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the decision an "investment in war."
