Nvidia CEO tells Germany its future workers will build digital cars
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday that future companies will operate both physical and digital factories, with most German workers building "digital cars" with "digital brains" inside simulated environments. The remarks came during the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin. Huang described a future where every company creates two things: "brains" and the brains that go into shipped products, claiming everything will be "completely software-driven" and "AI-driven." He referenced digital twins of companies that "might as well be real," with AI robots building robotic cars in simulated factories. The comments echo Huang's earlier keynote about dual factories, and appear to reference Nvidia's Omniverse platform, which simulates robot workplaces for testing. Critics called the speech incoherent, noting Merz nodded along and expressed admiration for Nvidia's work in Germany.
