pcmag.com —

Apple released iOS 27.2 on Monday, featuring Siri AI upgrades, a new Messages Suggestions feature, and Apple Pencil support for the iPhone Duo, alongside other improvements and bug fixes. Siri AI on iPhone 15 Pro and later can now remember past conversations, access photo attachments, Calendar attendees, and voicemails, and pull better results from Safari history. It also adds granular text selection, an Excluded Apps list, and support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, though it remains in beta and unavailable in the EU. Other updates include editable captions in Shared Albums, an invisible Synth ID watermark for Image Playground images, a black-and-white Apple Music logo, Simple Profiles in Apple TV, third-party sign-language interpreters on FaceTime, and Apple Pencil (USB-C) support for the Duo. The update is available for iPhone 11 or newer via Settings > General > Software Update.
