Chad Lowe and Wife Kim Painter Announce Death of Daughter Fiona, 13

Actor-director Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, announced the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona Hepler Lowe, in a family statement to People magazine late Tuesday, Sept. 29. The family shared the national suicide and crisis helpline in their announcement. The family described Fiona as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance," adding she was "the light of our lives" and deeply loved by her parents and sisters. They requested prayers and privacy, and urged anyone struggling with mental health to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Lowe, 58, known for "Life Goes On" and as Rob Lowe's younger brother, married Painter in 2010. The couple also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie Barbara, 10. Lowe frequently posted about Fiona on Instagram, including a birthday tribute last November.
