Zelenskyy seeks support at emergency European summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday. This follows a tense encounter with Donald Trump, who criticized Zelenskyy during a public meeting, raising concerns about U.S. support for Ukraine. European leaders are set to hold an emergency summit on Sunday to discuss Russia and a peace plan for Ukraine. Many European officials have expressed strong support for Zelenskyy, emphasizing the need for security guarantees in any peace agreement. Zelenskyy thanked the U.S. for its support but rejected calls to apologize for his comments during the White House meeting. Since February 2022, the U.S. has allocated approximately $183 billion for Ukraine's defense.
