Zelensky accuses Trump of spreading Russian disinformation on Ukraine war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of spreading Russian disinformation. This follows Trump's claims that Ukraine started the war and that Zelensky's approval rating is low, despite polls showing otherwise. Zelensky criticized the Trump administration for excluding Ukraine from recent U.S.-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia. He stated that the U.S. has helped Russia escape isolation and rejected Trump's suggestion of holding new elections in Ukraine as a peace concession. In response to ongoing Russian attacks, Zelensky reported that tens of thousands in Odesa are without power. Meanwhile, the EU is set to adopt new sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of its invasion of Ukraine.
