Yash reflects on early career challenges and growth
Kannada actor Yash spoke about his early career at the launch of the 'Manada Kadalu' trailer in Bengaluru. He recalled being called "arrogant" for asking to see scripts before agreeing to roles. Yash believes this request was important for him to truly connect with the stories he chose. Yash noted that wanting to read scripts led him to miss out on several films. He explained, "As a youngster trying to break into the film industry, I would ask the directors for my copy of the script. They would judge me as arrogant." He felt that believing in a project was essential to his performances. During the event, Yash thanked producer E Krishnappa for his early support. They worked together on the 2008 film 'Moggina Manasu,' which starred Yash's now-wife, Radhika Pandit. He appreciated Krishnappa's faith in him, even when he joined the project late. Currently, Yash is filming 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.' This period gangster film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is set to release on March 19, 2026. Yash will star alongside well-known actors like Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi. After 'Toxic,' Yash will start working on Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana,' where he will portray Ravana. This two-part epic is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, and Yash has already begun filming scenes in Mumbai, focusing on action-packed war sequences.
