World's most powerful electric tugboat sets Guinness World Record in Abu Dhabi

Damen Shipyards' RSD-E Tug 2513 Bu Tinah set a new Guinness World Record for tugboat performance at the ADIPEC conference. This event highlighted the Middle East's first fully electric tugboat, marking a key advancement in cleaner maritime operations. The RSD-E Tug 2513 Bu Tinah features electric propulsion, replacing the diesel-powered RSD Tug 2513 design. This change allows the tugboat to operate with zero emissions, significantly lowering its environmental impact. The all-electric design also reduces risks of oil or fuel leaks in sensitive marine areas, addressing concerns associated with traditional diesel tugboats.
