A woman was charged with multiple offenses after giving a false name to police during an ATV traffic stop in Garden River First Nation. The 29-year-old driver was stopped on June 20 for speeding and having a passenger without a helmet. Police discovered her license was suspended and she was violating court orders. The passenger was also charged for not wearing a helmet and allowing an unlicensed driver. Both are scheduled to appear in court in Sault Ste. Marie.
