Wisconsin surpasses 2020 in-person absentee voting total ahead of Election Day

Wisconsin has exceeded the number of in-person absentee ballots cast in 2020, with 705,326 ballots submitted as of October 31. This surpasses the 651,422 in-person absentee ballots from the last presidential election. In addition to in-person voting, 519,453 absentee ballots have been returned by mail, totaling 1,224,779 votes so far. However, this is still below the 2020 combined early voting total of 1,957,514. In-person absentee voting has gained popularity in recent elections. Most communities will end in-person early voting on Friday, while Milwaukee will continue through the weekend.
