*Wild Times* wins Cannes Jury Prize; Zhao Youting cries

The Chinese-language film *Wild Times*, starring Shu Qi and Yi Yangqianxi, won the Jury Special Prize at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, marking a major achievement. This win is the first for a Chinese-language film in the main competition at Cannes in a decade, following Hou Hsiao-hsien's *The Assassin*. Actor Mark Chao was visibly moved by the award. The film's success allows it to bypass Chinese film quotas for release in Taiwan. Other winners included Jafar Panahi for the Palme d'Or and Nadia Melliti for Best Actress.
