Wendy's closes over a dozen locations in Michigan as part of nationwide downsizing

Wendy's has permanently closed at least 12 locations in Michigan, including restaurants in Ingham, Lenawee, Livingston, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties. This follows the company's announcement to close 140 locations nationwide. Several Michigan locations are no longer listed on Wendy's website, and customers have shared photos confirming the closures. Some of these restaurants were still serving customers as recently as last week. Wendy's CEO previously stated that closures would affect underperforming locations. Despite these closures, the company plans to open hundreds of new restaurants in the coming years.
