Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, and Jessica Pratt nominated for awards

Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, and Jessica Pratt are the top nominees for the 2025 Libera Awards. The awards celebrate independent music and are presented by Merlin. The 14th annual ceremony will occur on June 9 in New York City. This year features 28 categories recognizing various artists and their work. Other nominees include Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Mavis Staples, and Common. The Libera Awards will kick off Indie Week, a conference running from June 10 to June 12. This year's event marks A2IM's 20th anniversary. In the "Record of the Year" category, nominees include Jessica Pratt's "Here in the Pitch" and Waxahatchee's "Tigers Blood." Awards will also be given for categories such as Best Alternative Rock, Best Country Record, and Best Hip-Hop/Rap Record.
