Wando Mount Pleasant Library hosts events for Black History Month

The Wando Mount Pleasant Library is celebrating Black History Month in February with various programs for all ages. Events include a scavenger hunt for children, chocolate-making demonstrations, and music storytelling sessions. Highlights include an author talk on the history of Laing School and a workshop on Malian mud cloth. A cookbook club will also allow adults to share dishes inspired by Black history. Registration is required for some events, and the library encourages community participation to honor African American contributions and culture.
