Waltham jury convicts man in housemate's stabbing death

A Waltham man, Jonathan Galindo, has been convicted of second-degree murder for the Halloween 2020 stabbing death of his former housemate. Galindo, 38, was found guilty after a three-week trial. The victim, Kevin Fitzgerald, 61, was found bleeding at his home after calling 911. Evidence included DNA, a knife, and Galindo's phone location data. Fitzgerald died from a chest wound. Galindo's phone searches and a ninja mask found in his closet were also key pieces of evidence. Sentencing is scheduled for July 15.
