Voting for IndyStar Student of the Week is open
Readers can vote for the IndyStar Student of the Week from March 24 to March 28. Each week, students from central Indiana are nominated for their achievements in school and beyond. Votes can be submitted until noon on Thursday, March 27. Winners will be revealed every Friday. This initiative highlights the accomplishments of all nominated students. Grace Sharp is a senior from Franklin Central High School. She is a talented student-athlete and a senior leader on the swim team. Grace is known for her positive attitude and creative writing skills. James Kalala, a junior at Southport High School, excels academically and in basketball. He has a strong GPA and is committed to both sports and his studies. James aspires to become a politician and advocate for change. Chase Osborne is a senior at Guerin Catholic High School. He is involved in fine arts and is recognized for his academic excellence and positive demeanor. Chase serves as a leader and is also part of the rowing program. Nariyah McClung, a senior at Ben Davis High School, is a photo editor in student media. She is respected by her peers and brings innovative ideas to her photography work. Tiesha Goober, a senior at Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School, is an active academic leader and senior class officer. Tiesha is known for her strong work ethic and support for her classmates. Alex Stout is a junior at Martinsville High School with a GPA of 4.262. He leads the Key Club and has organized community service events. Alex also plays varsity basketball and runs a lawn care business. Paul Arthur, a senior at Cathedral High School, excels in academics, sports, and community service. He is passionate about learning, particularly Spanish, and leads the Cathedral Spanish Club. Jesus Garcia, a sophomore at Roncalli High School, shows great improvement in French and is an active participant in class. His teacher praises his helpful attitude and compassion for others. Tallon Beavers, a junior at Shortridge High School, is recognized as a leader in multiple areas. He inspires and supports his peers, working tirelessly to uplift others in the community and on the field.
