Video captures attempted jewelry store theft in Scarborough

A video shows a stolen pickup truck crashing into a jewelry store in Scarborough during an attempted robbery on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road around 6:30 p.m. Surveillance footage reveals four suspects exiting a light-colored vehicle with garbage bags and hammers. They tried to break into the store but failed and fled after the truck hit the store multiple times. The truck struck a gas line, leading to an evacuation of the plaza. The store owner suffered minor injuries. Toronto police are searching for five masked suspects and are asking for public assistance.
