Valtteri Bottas returns to Mercedes as reserve driver for 2025 F1 season
Valtteri Bottas has returned to Mercedes as a reserve driver for the 2025 Formula One season. He previously raced for the team from 2017 to 2021, winning ten races and finishing second in the drivers' championship twice. George Russell believes Bottas' experience will greatly benefit the team, especially after his time at Sauber. Russell noted that their past conflicts are behind them and expressed excitement about working together. Russell also praised 18-year-old Kimi Antonelli, who will be making his F1 debut. Antonelli is the first Italian driver in F1 since 2021 and is expected to adapt quickly to the team.
