US officials urge Ukraine to sign $500 billion mineral deal and ease Trump criticism

The U.S. has also refrained from co-sponsoring a UN resolution condemning Russia's actions in Ukraine, marking a shift in its diplomatic approach. This is the first time the U.S. has not backed such a resolution since the war began.
